This 6,684-square-foot cottage has several bedrooms and areas for entertaining. Its turn-of-the-century charm and vintage appearance was achieved with well-planned architecture and the use of new materials made to look old. Cottage architecture is evident in the numerous gables and dormers, all with cozy built-ins, divided light windows, and strategically-placed stone piers, timber columns, and bracketing. Vintage style finishes were customized or created on site. Wide board paneling on the walls and ceiling was butted together instead of jointed so that the ends would cup and warp like an old cottage. Tin ceilings, oak skip-sawn floors, and old-fashioned lighting complete the overall ambiance.
